    • Bad Dates

Bad Dates is a funny and insightful show by one of our leading and most produced women playwrights, Theresa Rebeck. Haley, a single mom in New York City with an insatiable love of shoes, jumps back in to the dating world after spending years away to raise her young daughter and grow her career as a restaurateur. Whether despairing over a poorly-fitting pair of Chanel pumps or an all-too-zen conversation between bug lovers at a Buddhist fund-raiser, Haley must deal with her own issues as she muses on everyone else's. She has her own prejudices and preconceptions that must be dealt with before she'll be able to accept someone else into her somewhat insular life. This one-woman play is an idiosyncratic journey of self-discovery which enjoyed an extended run Off Broadway.

    by Yasmina Resa
    Translated by Christopher Hampton
    Directed by Gray Eubank
Winner of the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play. Winner of the 1996 Olivier Award for Best Comedy. How much would you pay for a white painting? Would it matter who the painter was? Would it be art? One of Marc's best friends, Serge, has just bought a very expensive painting. It's about five feet by four, all white with white diagonal lines. To Marc, the painting is a joke, but Serge insists Marc doesn't have the proper standard to judge the work. Another friend, Ivan, though burdened by his own problems, allows himself to be pulled into this disagreement. Eager to please, Ivan tells Serge he likes the painting. Lines are drawn and these old friends square off over the canvas, using it as an excuse to relentlessly batter one another over various failures. As their arguments become less theoretical and more personal, they border on destroying their friendships.

Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize. David Lindsay-Abaire has crafted a drama that’s not just a departure but a revelation—an in-tensely emotional examination of grief, laced with wit, insightfulness, compassion and searing honesty. Becca and Howie Corbett have everything a family could want, until a life-shattering accident turns their world upside down and leaves the couple drifting perilously apart. Rabbit Hole charts their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back into the light of day.

by Harper Lee, Adapted by Christopher Sergel
    Directed by David Janoviak
One of the most beloved and widely read novels of all time comes to life in this enthralling production. Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird is the Pulitzer Prize-winning tale of moral duty, humanity, and respect, observed through the restless and inquisitive eyes of a child. Brother and sister Jem and Scout Finch are growing up during the 1930s depression when their childhood innocence is shattered with the realization that bigotry and prejudice rule in their small town of Maycomb, Alabama. When their father Atticus, a liberal and principled lawyer, defends a falsely accused young black man, the whole family becomes the target of gossip and abuse. As evocative of its age as it is timelessly relevant.
