David Janoviak / Artistic Director: David Janoviak is a professional actor, director and teacher. He is presently assistant professor and head of the Theatre and Dance Department at Western Oregon University. Janoviak has performed at regional and professional theatres across the country and abroad, including The Northern Stage Company, Theatre Hebertot, Actors Repertory Theatre, The Dallas Shakespeare Festival and seven seasons with the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Janoviak has also directed over forty productions. He has served as artistic director of the Spotlight Theatre Company for five seasons and has won numerous awards for his acting and directing, including Best of 1990 in Theatre Week Magazine for his performance in the title role of Dr. Faustus. |

Ted deChatelet / Associate Artistic Director: Ted is a professional actor who has worked extensively both in New York and in Regional Theatres around the country including: Classic Stage Company, The Culture Project NYC, Milwaukee Rep, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Buffalo Studio Arena and the Shakespeare Festivals of Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois and North Carolina. In the World Premiere of David Ives semi-autobiographical play Polish Joke, Ted had the pleasure of playing Jaisu (a thinly disguised version of the author) at A Contemporary Theatre in Seattle. He has acted in several award winning independent films including Macbeth, the Comedy winner of the Audience Award for Best Picture at the New York Film and Video Festival. Ted has done numerous commercials for radio and television and has appeared twice on his favorite television show, Saturday Night Live. Ted received his MFA in Acting at the University of Illinois and a BA in Theatre from Wake Forest University. He has studied with Wynn Handman in NYC and with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. He currently teaches acting, voice, movement, and stage combat for the professional actor training program at Western Oregon University and previously taught at Linfield College, the University of Portland and Willamette University. He lives in McMinnville with his wife Dr. Janet Gupton, their daughter Dolan, and the dogs. |

Dr. Michael Phillips / Artistic Associate: Michael Phillips is a director, actor, dramaturg, and playwright. He served on the Board of Directors of the Portland Area Theatre Alliance for two years, where he was a theatre liaison and produced PATAs City-Wide Auditions. He has directed over 30 full-length professional and university level productions. His professional directing credits include the opera The Barber of Seville at the Lancaster Opera in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Arcadia at Lord Leebrick Theatre in Eugene, and Romance/Romance at the Neighborhood Playhouse in Atlanta, Georgia. Recent university productions include The Laramie Project at Western Oregon University, Fire in the Basement at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, and eight of Samuel Becketts short plays, gathered together under the title Nothing But Beckett, at Millersville University of Pennsylvania. His most recent professional work was as dramaturg on Sojourn theatres original production, Hidden, in Portland, Oregon. |

Sandra Hedgepeth / Costume Consultant: Sandy received her MFA in Costume Design from Florida State University. She has worked as a professional costume designer all over the United States and at several theatres in Portland, including: Tygres Hart Theatre, Northwest Childrens Theatre, Portland Opera, the Utah Shakespearean Festival, and the Barter Theatre. She has also worked extensively with Michael Curry Design Studios. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor and Costume Designer at Western Oregon University. |

Scott Grim / Artistic Associate: Scott Grim is currently scenic designer and Associate Professor of theatrical design and technology at Western Oregon University. He holds an M.F.A. in Theatre (Scenic Design) from the University of Georgia. Mr. Grim has designed for numerous theatres including Leach Theatre in Missouri, Highlands Playhouse in North Carolina and Pentacle Theatre in Salem, Oregon. A number of his designs have been included in the United States Institute for Theatre Technology International Design Archive. He has served as Technical Director at various institutions for over 16 years, including the Jekylle Island Musical Comedy Festival on Jekylle Island, Georgia. Some of the over 50 productions Mr. Grim has designed include Playboy of the Western World, Gods Country, Fuddy Meers, Into the Woods, Macbeth, Noises Off and You Cant Take it With You. |
