In it’s first five years of operation, Salem Repertory Theatre has hired over 60 interns from local colleges and universities, including Western Oregon University, Willamette University, Chemeketta Community College, Corban College, Linfield College and George Fox University.
Salem Repertory Theatre is seeking interns for its 2008-2009 season. Our internship program is designated to engage a current or recently graduated undergraduate student in a hands-on educational experience. Internships last from 4-12 weeks and include hands-on work (16-25 hours a week) in a designated area of focus, individualized educational and professional goals, and bi-weekly intern/apprentice seminar meetings led by SRT employees, guest artists , and regional specialists. The internships include a stipend (TBA) and students may engage in an internship for college credit (if so desired). Interns focus on one of two areas: technical theatre or stage management. As SRT is a small organization, each internship is catered to individual interests and needs.
